SHPF Photo Competition 2025

The SHPF are happy to be running a photo competition again this year with cash prizes of £25, £20 and £15 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

• The competition is open to all SHPF members.
• Each member can submit up to two photos, taken by themselves..
• The submissions must be hang-gliding or paragliding related and taken in Scotland.
• All submissions must have been taken between 1 January and 31 December 2025.

How to Submit Photos

The photos, your name, and a brief description of the photos should be e-mailed to photocomp@shpf.co.uk

Do remember to include your name and details about the photos.

Entries should be submitted by Thursday 1st January 2026, but the sooner the better!

Voting and Scoring

Winners will be decided by choosing your 3 favourite photos and ranking them 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice. The winning photos will be the ones which accumulate the most points. Points will be awarded as follows: 1st choice = 3 points, 2nd choice = 2 points, and 3rd choice = 1 point.

SHPF members can submit their votes by sending an email giving their name and 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice photographs to photocomp@shpf.co.uk by Monday 2nd February 2026.

The results will be announced at the SHPF online AGM to be held on the evening of 19th February 2026.
