Emergency Parachute Systems - one day course 18th October 2014
This was sucessfully held in the Raeburn Suite at the EICA, Ratho
By the end of the course, the 27 participants improved their knowledge of the function and use of emergency parachutes.
This one day course was designed to go beyond the Ratho Re-pack but not into the high level detail or requirements of the BHPA EPPS Course. Participants learned more about emergency systems rather than just their own equipment, increased their confidence in making judgements and have a balanced view of their own ability to advise and assist others at Club level.
This course did not qualify participants for the BHPA EPPS qualification however it did provide a good introduction to those who may wish to work towards this through the formal training.
Scottish Nationals Paragliding Series

- 2nd - Gordon Smyth - 2500 points
- 3rd - Mike Jardine - 2360 points
Highlands - 13th/14th September 2014.
A fun and enjoyable round was hosted /run by Iain Robertson and Mike Dearman of the Highland Paragliding Club though sadly it was sparsely attended.
